Dr. Jim Tennant is a principal dentist at Hay River Dental Clinic in Hay River, Northwest Territories, Canada. He has been a member of the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Dental Association since its formation in 1975. Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr. Tennant obtained Canadian citizenship in 1979 and is currently registered and licensed to practice dentistry in both British Columbia and the Northwest Territories. Since 1981, he has been an active volunteer, providing dental services for one month each year to St. Jude Hospital in St. Lucia. He has also provided government contract services in several remote communities in Canada's North. In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Tennant holds a commercial pilot's license and has served as director of the Northwest Territories Civil Air Search and Rescue Association for the last 10 years.
